The Redlin Art Center will host a holiday film festival featuring some of the most well-known Christmas classics. The series will kick off on Saturday, December 5th with the classic Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. Guests will be invited to watch this movie on the 12’ screen in the Redlin Art Center’s 100 seat theater. In addition, the “Grinch” and his sleigh will make a special appearance and will be available to pose for pictures with children of all ages. Show times are 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Each show is 30 minutes in length. Photos will be taken between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admission to this event is free.

On Thursday, December 10th, the Redlin Art Center will feature “The Year Without A Santa Claus” at 6:30 p.m. This show is a 50 minute show. The Redlin Art Center’s Gift Shops will have extended hours so parents can shop while the children watch the show if desired. The Redlin Art Center will be open until 8 p.m.

On Saturday, December 12th, 2009, the Redlin Art Center will present a double feature! “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” will be presented beginning with “Frosty” at 1 p.m. There will be a brief intermission between shows with “Rudolph” scheduled for 2 p.m.

The finale of the Redlin Art Center’s Holiday Film Festival will take place on
Saturday, December 19th with a special showing of the classic
film, “White Christmas”. The show will begin at 1 p.m. and will be followed by a special appearance by “Bing Crosby” and the Foursquare Church Choir carolers. As part of this special presentation, we invite guests to bring a new, unwrapped toy or book for a child. Gifts collected at this event will be distributed by the Foursquare Church to families in need.

These special film presentations have been made possible by the generous support of Plains Commerce Bank. Admission to all of these holiday events is free of charge. Children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult. For more information, please call 605-882-3877.
